I can’t help but feel like this is less “guilty pleasures gone wild” and more “cry for help from my subconscious”. These little pop confections are nothing to be ashamed of, I’m not that level of music snob. However, I can’t help but feel that they’re not stretching my brain to think or feel in anyway like my music usually does. Indulging in this will lead the thinking parts of my brain to become like most of America, getting fat and lazy as it sits on the couch of my cerebellum.
Nope, time to partake in some finer stuffs. Hymns to rage and heartbreak; to intensity and forward momentum; to seething, biting, clawing lust.
